The estate
Steenberg Golf Estate is the Southern Suburbs' largest estate, and a call there is an access question before it is a door question: the resident clears the technician at the gate, and phoning the gatehouse while still on the phone to us is what shortens the wait. The doors are newer sectionals fitted at build with the developer's motor, and the year-four motor failure and the handover faults — beams never aligned, limits at default — are the calls. A motor sized for the door is the honest fix on the first.
The village
Old Steenberg, along the Main Road and toward Retreat, is older houses with steel tip-ups and the ordinary spring and roller work, plus a few working yards with roller shutters on domestic motors doing more cycles than they were rated for.
Getting here
Steenberg is at the end of the M3 and quick to reach, with the estate gate the only delay. Tokai, Kirstenhof and Lakeside share the routes.
