Multi-car garages
Welgemoed's houses around the golf club have garages for three and four cars, on very wide sectionals or several singles side by side, and the springs and motors for a door that size are not the ones on a Parow single. The van carries the heavy sizes. Where a house has several doors they were fitted together and fail together, and one visit is planned to look at all of them rather than finding the second failing a month after the first.
Estates, and remotes that reach
Much of Welgemoed is behind a gate, and long driveways mean a remote that reaches from the road and a receiver with the range for it. A motor repair here is usually a gear or a board on a good unit; where a developer motor was fitted to a door it was never rated for, a motor sized for it is the honest answer.
Getting here
Welgemoed is off the N1 via Jip de Jager Drive and quick to reach, with the gate the delay. Plattekloof, Bellville and Durbanville share the routes, and an emergency at night needs the gate arrangement made in advance.
