Two Bellvilles
Bellville's original streets off Voortrekker Road have single garages with steel tip-ups from the sixties and seventies, simple doors that need pivot springs, bearings and, where they are still manual, automation in place on driveways that have the room for the swing. The estates toward Tyger Valley are the other Bellville: double sectionals fitted at build with the developer's motor, and the year-four motor failure that follows a unit chosen for price on a door it was never rated for.
Estates and offices
The Tyger Valley side is estate living with estate gates, and a call there is an access question first — phone the gatehouse while still on the phone to us. It is also office parks with basement roller shutters on commercial cycles, booked through the managing agent, where a shutter stuck shut at seven in the morning is a building that cannot get to work and is treated as an emergency.
Getting here
Bellville is on the N1 and one of the quickest addresses north of the city. Durbanville, Parow and Plattekloof share the routes.
