High and exposed
Higgovale is the top of the Bowl, under Table Mountain, and its doors take the wind from every direction the mountain sends it. Sectional panels rattle and stress their hinges; a roll-up in its guides handles the most exposed openings better. The garages are cut into the slope with the same odd openings as Oranjezicht below, and the measuring visit takes the actual numbers before any door is quoted.
Large houses, discreetly
The stands are large and the houses expect a technician who arrives when arranged, works to the household's timing and does not advertise the visit. Unmarked arrival can be arranged. A motor repair or a spring is done the same as anywhere; the discretion is in the arrangement.
Getting here
Higgovale is minutes from the city and quick to reach, up steep roads. Oranjezicht, Tamboerskloof and Gardens share the routes, and an emergency is at the fast end.
