Houses, flats and yards
Diep River is small and mixed. The streets either side of the station have older houses with steel tip-ups and sectionals that need the Southern Suburbs' usual spring and roller work. Main Road has flats with basement doors on a body corporate's list, booked through the managing agent. And toward Southfield Road there are business units with roller shutters doing commercial cycles on domestic motors, which is a motor sized for the use conversation when the domestic one fails.
Doors that do commercial work
A unit that opens forty times a day on a motor rated for six is the commonest failure on the working side of Diep River, and the honest fix is not a repair to a motor that was never right but a heavy-duty unit rated for the cycles. A roll-up on a workshop is the right door, and its guides want clearing on every visit.
Getting here
Diep River is off the M3 via Ladies Mile or the Main Road, quick to reach. Plumstead, Bergvliet and Meadowridge share the routes.
